Authentic Thai cuisine, 10/10 would recommend. I come to town for work once a year and this is the only place I go. Very clean, amazing food, and staff are very accommodating (Pat is the man). Give them a try, it'll be worth it.
overall ratings food: 4.8/5 service: 3.5/5 atmosphere: 4/5 price: $$ value: pretty good! thai basil has been on my bucket list for the longest time. i've heard rave reviews from all of my friends and i was excited to give it a try. firstly, i would like to commend the tasteful interior decor and the availability of parking spaces, which made the visit convenient. additionally, the food, including the pad see ew, pad thai, and chicken satay, was well-prepared and enjoyable. the portion sizes were generous, and the value for money was commendable at $15 for what felt like two meals. however, i did notice an area for improvement in terms of customer service. once our order was taken, there was limited engagement from the staff. no one checked in on us, refilled our water, or attended to our needs. furthermore, when we finished our meal, we had to wait for approximately 20 minutes to receive the bill and request take-out boxes. eventually, we had to flag down a staff member to assist us. i believe enhancing the customer service aspect would greatly benefit the overall experience. despite these observations, i still believe thai basil is a solid neighborhood thai restaurant. given the positive aspects mentioned earlier, i would consider returning if i am in the area again.
My favorite Thai spot around the area. The food is EXCELLENT and their service is great. Highly recommend the yellow curry and the drunken noodles.
Best Thai in LO. Portions are a little small but the flavor is delicious. Good fresh rolls but add the large peanut sauce.
Great food, fast service, and the pad Thai was spot on! Everything we ordered was delicious! My only complaint was that the lettuce wraps tasted like yellow curry and not the typical lettuce flavor I'm used to.
Can't go wrong. I love the pad Thai with the wide noodles extra spicy. The staff is friendly and food taste fresh
Great little Thai place. We were sat quickly and the food came out even faster. We tried the spring rolls, pad Thai, and hot paradise. The spring rolls were light and refreshing and the sauce had the perfect sweet and spicy balance. The pad Thai was very good and my husband really enjoyed the hot paradise. We were just up here for the day, but would absolutely come back.
